By Dzign recently had the amazing opportunity to provide charity gala decor (for the second year in a row) for the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards Gala, an annual charity event held in honor of the late renowned interior designer. An effort of the Desert AIDS Project, one of the most comprehensive HIV/AIDS service providers in the U.S., the Gala recognizes the work of national humanitarians each year. Needless to say, it’s always an honor to work with organizations and agencies like the Desert AIDS Project who are doing so much to help, not only our local community, but the global community as well.
The event was held in Palm Springs and the theme was “Imagine” (as in “Imagine…a world without HIV/AIDS”), so we were able to bring in some really bright, beautiful charity gala decor to really drive that theme—and its beautiful message—home.
The By Dzign corporate event planning team displayed the event logo—a colorful graphic that inspired the entire event aesthetic—on its fan-favorite Disengo Specialty Tables. The By Dzign Lighting team then beautifully lit each table in the colors of the event logo, adding bright pops of color and character to the entire room. Overall, the room felt hopeful, lively and bright.
For the stage, By Dzign Decor brought in Steel Tech towers and lit each with its By Dzign branded wireless lights, creating a space that really felt grand and demanded the room’s attention during the program.
Overall, it was such a pleasure to provide charity gala decor for such an amazing organization, and we had so much fun working with the psychedelic-chic event theme to create a colorful aesthetic that communicated both power and hope—two things the Desert AIDS Project brings so much of to the world.
