We recently had the amazing opportunity to transform the Las Vegas Sands Expo space for the #HPDISCOVER corporate event (Hewlett-Packard’s showcase technology event) this past June. For the By Dzign event planning team, it really was one of our favorite projects to-date. We never shy away from a challenge, and this corporate event was challenging to say the least.
The corporate event theme for #HPDISCOVER was “Park,” and every one of the By Dzign departments worked tirelessly for six full days to transform a blank, lifeless exhibit hall into a bustling, green, lively park for 10,000 guests to enjoy. We wanted the event aesthetic to communicate a balance of nature and nostalgia, and we brought in tons (and tons) of By Dzign decor to make this happen.
To drive home the “nostalgia” piece of the puzzle, By Dzign Interactive brought in life-size chess, timeless cornhole sets and even used a crane to drop in colorful shipping containers that housed old-school video games.
We also used facade food trucks as backdrops for the food stations and built the DJ booth to look like a large vintage record player.
We wanted guests to feel as though they were stepping into a true park setting from the moment they entered the event, so, to execute the “nature” feel, By Dzign A/V beautifully video-mapped a waterfall and Koi pond that greeted guests as entered through the hotel banquet space.
We used tree houses as barbacks, popped lush greenery every place we could and strung charming market lights around the perimeter of the event space.
“In the Cloud” VIP Corporate Event Area
This corporate event also boasted a VIP Area that was themed “In the Clouds,” which made for an added challenge. We needed the space to feel part of the whole, while still being set apart and of its own aesthetic.
We used strategic lighting and brought in By Dzign event furniture rentals in bright whites and clear acrylics to give the space an airy aesthetic that really drove home that “In the Clouds” corporate event theme we were asked to execute.
Overall, the event was a huge success and it was such an honor to work with a company like HP to make this all happen. As event planners, designers and engineers, we love transforming spaces into entirely new settings. Contact us if you have an upcoming soiree that you need a Las Vegas corporate event planning team for. We’d be happy to help bring your vision to life.
