From the moment we met Caitlin and Derek, Weddings By Dzign wanted to be the team to bring their M Resort wedding to life. They were one of our all-time favorite couples to work with, and they balanced each other out so effortlessly. Caitlin had a detailed-oriented eye, while Derek stayed focused on not getting bogged down with the small stuff.

Caitlin chose not to have a set color palette but, instead, wanted to keep everything neutral and timeless (a design choice we love). We chose to pop the neutral palette with navy, blush and metallic accents—creating an aesthetic that managed to feel both dramatic and airy at once at this striking M Resort wedding.

The Ceremony at the M Resort

The couple said their I Do’s poolside at Las Vegas’ M Resort amongst a setting that was nothing short of stunning. For the ceremony, the By Dzign floral team created a number of stunning arrangements—including the two massive altar arrangements that framed the ceremony space.

The altar arrangements consisted of  ivory roses and spray roses, blush spray roses for a touch of romantic color, and dusty blue brazilia berries. Each was placed on a streamlined white pedestal in an oversized white urn. We also worked to incorporate one of Caitlin’s favorite flowers—pink anemones—into her bridesmaids’ tightly focused bouquets, while keeping Caitlin’s bouquet light and understated with all ivory florals and touches of brazilia berries.

The Reception at LUX at The M Resort

After the ceremony, guests moved indoors where they danced the night away in M Resort’s private 16th-floor venue, LUX. Here, we brought in floral arrangements to soften up the space and to bring the same aesthetic and tone we set outside at the ceremony indoors for the reception.

The By Dzign floral team alternated between a tall centerpiece (a 32” glass veronica vase filled with hydrangea, blush and ivory roses and spray roses, and brazilia berries) and a shorter one (a silver mercury compote vase filled with hydrangea, blush and ivory roses and spray roses, white ranunculus and brazilia berries and dusty miller). The alternating heights worked to add some serious depth and visual interest to the room.

The one thing the groom fell in love with (besides his stunning bride) was the light in the bottom of the veronica vases—from the moment we showed him this design detail in our mock-ups, he knew he had to have it. In addition to the centerpieces, we also peppered each table with gold mercury votives for that added touch of romance and defined each place setting with stunning gold charger plates.

Caitlin knew she wanted to somehow incorporate geometric accents, and we thought the perfect place to do so was the cake. So, The M Resort worked to craft the stunner you see above, complete with a sweet “Mr. and Mrs.” gold cake topper, which added a romantic touch to the otherwise streamlined cake.

Overall, we were so honored to bring this couple’s stunning wedding vision to life. Working with Caitlin and Derek was an absolute dream, and we’re head-over-heels for the timeless, oh-so romantic aesthetic they chose for their big day.
